Responsible for accurately analysing all costs associated with projects to provide estimates which are not only accurate but fair for the client .
Accurately review all project designs or specifications to ensure it is clearly understood.
Identify irregularities within projects and raise queries as required.
Use knowledge of local market to source materials and products at the best value and quality within the budget parameters.
Responsible for ensuring the site condition is clearly understood by personally making site visits – take measurements and photographs to provide as much detail as possible.
Negotiation of prices with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure costs from all sub-contractors are clearly understood.
Understand the impact of all costs (including, delays, material quality and sub-contractors) on the profit margin.
Liaise directly with designers and clients to gain clarity on any questions relating to the accurate estimation of a project.
Ensure client preferences in regard to suppliers and/or materials is clearly understood.
Communicate directly with any preferred suppliers of individual clients to ensure pricing is accurate on specified items.
Ensure inclusions and exclusions are clearly and accurately noted in the proposals.
Ensure project is on budget at all stages.
Coordinate and liaise with sub-contractors
Liaise with Clients in regard to Variation Orders
Review project cost at completion and compare original estimated budget and actual cost of project - submit final cost sheet to Accountants department.
Maintain full database of suppliers and contractors based on quality standards.
Preparation of BOQ’s
Ensure Purchase Orders are sent
Written communication with clients, suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors.
All files and data must be backed up every day to the server
